Shannon Bryden, 73, of Fallon, passed away on September 21, 2026, after a brief illness. Born on October 11, 1952, in Springfield, Ohio, to Leo and Delores Woods, Shannon lived a life defined by quiet strength, devotion to her family, and a deep love for animals and plants.
Throughout her career, Shannon held many clerk positions and spent several years working at NAS Fallon. She later retired from the U.S. Postal Service after serving her community as a dedicated postal delivery carrier. She was known for her reliability, kindness, and warm presence. Throughout her life, Shannon cared for many beloved dogs and cats, finding joy and companionship in each one.
Shannon loved her family deeply and was always willing to help others whenever they needed her. She had a special bond with her grandchildren and played a significant role in helping raise them, offering guidance, love, and stability that shaped their lives.
She is survived by her daughters, Tricha (Darren) Hutchcraft, Dawn (Kevin) Seeley, and Cathy Anderson; her brothers, Bill Woods and Mac Woods; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Delores Woods. Her family will forever carry her memory in their hearts.
A celebration of Shannon’s life will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Smith Family Funeral Home, 505 Rio Vista Dr., Fallon, Nevada 89406.
