Fallon’s varsity boys and girls teams each placed fourth Saturday at the Silver State 3K in Boulder City, with the boys scoring 151 points in a field of 121 runners and the girls scoring 102 points among 92 runners. Bishop Gorman won the boys race with 53 points, and Coronado won the girls race with 44.
In the boys varsity race, Cayson Lacow led Fallon in 18th place in 10:10.7. Jackson Barbee finished 37th (10:35.8), Lars Rasmussen 42nd (10:51.2), Tayven Martinez 49th (11:01.2) and Cody Frey was the fifth scoring runner for Fallon in 50th place (11:05.9),
Michael Lister placed 61st (11:25.5) and Isaac Frederick came 74th (11:55.9) for the Vaqueros.
In the girls varsity race, Aubrey Strickland placed sixth in 11:47.6. Issabelle Walter‑Chicas‑Garibay finished 17th (12:18.3), Casandra Hooper 18th (12:18.5), Tommie Fitzer 27th (13:37.5) and Ella Bassham 70th (15:50.8).
In the girls open division, Melody Garcia‑Bishop finished 19th (15:03.6), Kylee Moore 29th (15:43.9) and Zoe Rasmussen 38th (16:57.1).
Fallon’s boys placed eighth in the open division with 212 points. Landon Liston finished 15th (11:15.2), followed by Ryan Dentimano 49th (12:44.4), Alex Bacallo 62nd (13:18.2), Vernon Harper 77th (13:49.7), Thomas Alvarado 104th (17:15.1) and Nikko Martinez 107th (20:52.9).
This Saturday the Greenwave are scheduled to run in the Truckee Invitational at Ponderosa Golf Course. The meet begins at 8:45 a.m. with the JV girls, followed by the JV boys, varsity girls and varsity boys with more than 40 schools entered from Nevada and California.
