Autumn is officially in the air, and this weekend brings one of our absolute favorite Fallon traditions of the year. Join us from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, as we take over several blocks of the Maine Street corridor for our milestone 10th annual Show-N-Shine. It’s going to be an unforgettable, family-friendly cruise down memory lane packed with polished chrome, beautiful classic cars, delicious food, great music, and classic hometown fun — and it is completely free for the public to attend. At 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, with the hot-rod spirit in the air, bring the whole family in for the high-energy animated hit “Turbo” (2013). The film follows an ordinary garden snail named Turbo who dreams of being the greatest racer in the world. After a freak accident infuses him with super speed, Turbo sets out on an extraordinary journey to achieve the impossible and compete in the ultimate race: the Indianapolis 500. Packed with a stellar voice cast, it is a fun ride for kids and parents alike. Rated PG, it runs 1 hour and 36 minutes.

On Friday night at 7 p.m., join us for the legendary Western masterpiece “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly” (1966). Directed by Sergio Leone, this epic finale to the Dollars trilogy stars Clint Eastwood, Lee Van Cleef, and Eli Wallach as three gunfighters searching for a fortune in buried Confederate gold amid the chaos of the American Civil War. Featuring Ennio Morricone’s iconic soundtrack and breathtaking cinematic showdowns, it remains a towering triumph of the big screen. Rated R, it runs 2 hours and 58 minutes.

Then, at 7 p.m. Saturday, following all the exciting classic car fun, we are thrilled to host a special live performance featuring Reno Modern Brass. Founded in 2018, Reno Modern Brass is a locally focused brass chamber ensemble devoted to the performance and creation of music by living composers. As one of the core ensembles of reNEW Music, Reno’s only group focused on performing, premiering, and championing new works, the ensemble is committed to sharing unique music from diverse genres with our community. Its mission is to commission new works, perform recently written masterpieces, and discover neglected great works from the recent past. Don’t miss this incredible evening of vibrant, modern brass music right here on our stage, presented by the Toiyabe Chamber Music Society. Admission is by donation, and children are welcome.

For the first weekend of October, step with us into the world of bugs with Flik and friends for a fully immersive, one-weekend-only 4D movie experience with “A Bug’s Life” on Oct. 2 and 3. This family-friendly event features a fully decorated theater, themed treats, and sensory special effects, with interactive 4D screenings at 6 p.m. Friday and 1 and 6 p.m. Saturday. Evening doors open at 5 p.m. Tickets are already halfway sold out, and since these 4D events always sell out completely, reserve your seats now through the link on our website or Facebook page. Your $5 reservation fee goes directly toward restoring our historic front facade. Prefer the traditional movie? Standard screenings, with no special effects or reservations required, run at 7 p.m. Friday and 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday.
