More Than 90 CCHS Seniors Preadmitted to UNR

More than 90 members of the Churchill County High School Class of 2027 have been preadmitted to the University of Nevada, Reno, through a partnership designed to help students prepare for college.

More than 70 seniors participated in a preadmission meeting Sept. 9 in the CCHS library, where university representatives provided information about college opportunities, the admissions process, and resources available to incoming students.

Through the preadmission program, UNR representatives visit CCHS to meet with students, answer questions, and help them explore academic programs and career pathways. The program gives students an early opportunity to plan for college and consider their options after graduation.

Students also have the opportunity to participate in Nevada Bound, an on-campus experience that allows prospective students to visit UNR, explore academic programs, and experience college life firsthand.

The ongoing partnership between CCHS and UNR provides students with opportunities to connect their high school education with college and career goals.
