Stockman’s Casino marked a new chapter in its long Fallon history Sept. 18 as current and former owners joined community members for a grand reopening celebrating renovations and the addition of Boomer’s Sportsbook.
The Fallon Chamber of Commerce hosted the ribbon-cutting ceremony at the casino. David Ross, co-owner of Stockman’s Casino, welcomed former owners Ken Bendickson and Jim Peters to the celebration.
Ross, Michael Gaughan III, and Joe Asher became the casino’s owners in April 2025 and began updating the casino and restaurant. Although the project encountered unforeseen hurdles, the team continued with the renovations.
The work included new flooring, gaming machines, and improvements throughout the casino and restaurant. General Manager Lou Capone also noted the addition of air conditioning to cool the casino floor.
Boomer’s Sportsbook partnered with Stockman’s about five months ago. Shawn Odell, executive comptroller for Boomer’s, said the Fallon sportsbook is the Nevada-based company’s 16th location. Its locations extend from Elko, where the company opened its first sportsbook, to Amargosa Valley.
Odell said customers can download the Boomer’s Sportsbook app or visit the casino to activate an account. The sportsbook matches a customer’s first deposit up to $250.
