The Churchill Arts Council will host a Moth-inspired open-mic storytelling event at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18, in the Barkley Theatre at Oats Park Art Center, 151 E. Park St.
Participants may place their names in a drawing for a chance to tell a five-minute story based on the theme “First Time for Everything.” Stories must be true, on theme, told within the time limit, and the storyteller’s own to share.
Steven Christie will host the event. Byron Sorensen will perform in the Art Bar from 5:30 to 7 p.m., and an introductory Fallon Film Society meeting will begin there at 6 p.m.
