Joe Curtis — Comstock Tales and Lies

Virginia City historian Joe Curtis will present “Comstock Tales and Lies,” an examination of the stories, myths and tall tales associated with Virginia City and the Comstock. Curtis is a longtime Comstock resident, a former owner of the Mark Twain Bookstore and chair of the Comstock Historic District Commission. His historical presentations draw on photographs, documents and decades of research into Virginia City's past. The lecture begins at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, at the Churchill County Museum in Fallon.
