Beauty in Balance: Discover Grit & Grace Salon's Unique Charm

Meet Alex and Kayla Pappasburt. Alex, the Grit, and Kayla the Grace. 

Grit and Grace Salon is owned by Alex and Kayla Pappasburt, he is the Grit, and she is the Grace. They met while Alex was in the military and stationed in Georgia. Kayla and Alex purchased their first salon in March 2021, Volume Salon. When Alex was discharged from the military, they decided to relocate to Nevada. Home means Nevada for Alex, growing up in Spanish Springs. For Kayla, home was in Georgia. Kayla said the first few months in Nevada were a transitioning period, mostly because of the drier climate. But by August of 2023 the couple were well-settled and opening Grit & Grace Salon. 

Kayla is a hair stylist who specializes in color services, known as balayage, a hair highlighting or blonding technique. She really enjoys women’s and little girls’ haircuts and styling.

There are three other stylists and a nail technician.

Alyssa, a hair stylist, also works with all types of color services. She does men’s and women’s haircuts as well as boys' and girls' haircuts and styles.

Shaylin is a lash technician, specializing in eyelash extensions for people wanting to add volume to their eyelashes. Shaylin also offers eyebrow and lash tinting, along with brow lamination, which semi-permanently sets the eyebrow hairs in a vertical direction, giving them a brushed-up look. These services should be done at a salon due to the chemicals used around the eyes. In addition to lash and brow services, Shaylin provides lip waxing and underarm waxing.

Lexi, another top-notch hair stylist at Grit & Grace, offers color services for men and women, as wells as haircuts and styles. Adding a bit of color and western panache to the salon, Lexi likes to has on display a few of her hand-painted and decorated cow skulls, each one telling its own story.

Hannah is a nail technician, providing all types nail services, including manicures, gel, and acrylic nails. Hannah specializes in nail art.
