Horoscope Hideout - August 12 - 18

Horoscope Hideout - August 12 - 18

The days are starting to shorten, and Venus and Sun are in Leo. The potential is definitely there for some easy and joyful experiences but be aware some self-centered emotions may surface in all of us.

Aries: This week may find you feeling fun and carefree. May be a great time to revisit the activities or social circles that allow you the feel most like your authentic self.

Taurus: Your weekend hints at admiration and magnetism, but with Mars’ transit, might be best to skip the impulsiveness. Make some plans, see where they lead.

Gemini: Your motivation is high, and so are the goals you’re setting. This period of productivity is a grand one, however, Mercury’s aspects this week suggest taking great care with communications.

Cancer: Sometimes to reach our destinations, we have to travel with a lighter load. Dropping the old ideas or narratives that have been holding you back may be the best fuel to move forward.

Leo: Venus entered your sign the end of last week, and is coming with a more open mind, and an insatiable thirst for all things fun and new. Live a little but be mindful of potential consequences.

Virgo: Your dependability and generosity with others is a part of your identity, but it doesn’t mean you enjoy being taken advantage of. Less people pleasing this week, more boundary setting.

Libra: The current transits are giving you plenty of confidence boosts, and motivation to match. Try not to bottle up your feelings during this period, as it could get ugly when they finally release otherwise.

Scorpio: It’s time for a personal inventory. Never one to settle into routines easily, the dueling energies of the planetary bodies is only making it harder to toe the line. Artistic expression could be a great distraction.

Sagittarius: This week may have you feeling raw and beaten down, or quick to confrontation. Misunderstandings abound, so try to remember there’s usually more to it than at first sight.

Capricorn: Financial aspects are demanding attention this period, and some things might require a double check. Do the work now so you can avoid the stress later.

Aquarius: Positive opportunities linger in your near future, but it may require you to stand true with your own mission or beliefs. Remain positive and calm when presented with adverse challenges.

Pisces: Hard work pays off, and you work harder when it’s something new and exciting. Allow your creative juices to flow while you work on new or revisited skills and passions.

He was a good friends with my Dad and always had an entertaining story for the occasion. One of my most favorite stories Paul told dated back to the late 60s or early 70s and it revolved around him killing a deer way out in the mountains. Naturally the deer ran down into a deep canyon and died. Knowing that it would take him forever to haul it out he devised an awesome plan. After preparing the deer he drove back to NAS Fallon and rustled up a SAR crew and they flew out and picked up the deer. Of course it was labeled as a training flight but what the hell in those days you could do that sort of thing. Rest in Peace my friend until we meet again!!Comment publication date: 4/11/24, 1:15 PMComment source: Obituary - LCDR Paul N Pflimlin
