Notes from District Court

Tenth Judicial District Court convened Tuesday, September 27th with Judge Thomas Stockard presiding.
Jason Scott Bigelow pled guilty to a charge of Possession of a schedule 1 or 2 controlled substance for the purpose of sales, a Category D Felony which carries a potential penalty of 1-4 years in Nevada State Prison and a fine of up to $5,000. Sentencing was set for December 20, 2022.
Bradlee Kevon Tyler Morris pled guilty to a charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance, a Category D Felony, which carries a potential penalty of 1-4 years in Nevada State Prison and a fine of up to $5,000. He was sentenced 1-4 years in Nevada State Prison, suspended, and was placed on probation with conditions attached was ordered to pay fines and fees.
Ronnell Edward Wilson received an aggregate sentence of 54-180 months in Nevada State Prison, suspended. He was placed on probation for charges of Fraudulent Use of a credit or debit card, Offer, attempt or commission of an unauthorized act relating to a controlled or counterfeit substance, and Conspiracy to violate the Uniform Controlled Substance Act. Wilson was ordered to pay fines and fees.
Vitorino Vicente Pacheco pled not guilty to a charge of Battery causing substantial bodily harm to a victim that constitutes Domestic Violence, a Category D Felony which carries a potential penalty of 1-6 years in Nevada State Prison and a fine of up to $5,000. Trial was set for February 15, 2023.
Mario Enrique Lopez was sentenced to 364 days in Churchill County Jail, suspended, and was placed on probation with conditions and ordered to pay fines and fees on a charge of Abuse, neglect or endangerment of a child not causing substantial bodily harm.
Charles Christopher Franklin Wells failed to appear for a Status Hearing.
If Wells fails to keep his appointment with Probation, a Bench Warrant will be issued.
Joseph Estevan Ellis-Rivera, in custody, pled guilty to a charge of Attempt to commit Battery that constitutes Domestic Violence by strangulation, which was sentenced as a Gross Misdemeanor carrying a possible penalty of 364 days in the Churchill County Jail and a fine of up to $2,000. Ellis-Rivera received the 364-day sentence, which was suspended, and he was placed on probation with conditions and was ordered to pay fines and fees.
Colleen Elizabeth Hooper, in custody, pled guilty to a charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance, a Category D Felony which carries a possible penalty of 1-4 years in Nevada State Prison and a fine of up to $5,000. Hooper was sentenced to 1-4 years, suspended, and was placed on probation with conditions attached and ordered to pay fines and fees.
Cynthia Michelle Manning, in custody, pled guilty to two counts of Offer, attempt or commission of an unauthorized act relating to manufacturing or compounding of certain controlled substances, Category C Felonies which each carry a potential penalty of 1-5 years in Nevada State Prison and a fine of up to $10,000.
Court ordered a Pre-sentence Investigative Report; sentencing was set for December 22, 2022.
Christopher Madison Chandler, in custody, pled guilty to a charge of Possession of more than 1 ounce but less than 50 pounds of marijuana, a Category D Felony which carries a potential penalty of 1-4 years in Nevada State Prison and a fine of up to $5,000. A Pre-sentence Investigative Report was ordered and sentencing was set for October 18, 2022.
Ryan Edward Street, in custody, pled guilty to a charge of Housebreaking, a Gross Misdemeanor that carries a potential penalty of 364 days in the Churchill County Jail and a fine of up to $2,000. Street was sentenced to 364 days, and suspended. He was placed on probation with conditions attached. Street was ordered to pay restitution, fines, and fees.
Michael Jacob Casey, in custody, was found competent and remanded to Justice Court.
