Numa's student council and S2S teams sponsored a blood drive on March 9. The turnout was a huge success. Students were challenged to get as many donors to sign up as possible. The winning class was Mrs. Leslie Brown's, followed by Mrs. Solinski, and Mrs. Burch-Urquhart's classes.

Here is the note from the coordinator Nicole Jo: “Wow, what a great first blood drive at Numa Elementary! I couldn’t be more happy with the turnout and with how the drive went. Overall, we had 49 donors sign in to give. From them we had 41 successful donations and those donors gave 48 units of blood. This blood will be used to save up to 116 lives. This is an outstanding result especially given this is our first drive ever! Although we will likely never meet those blessed by our donation, they are living, breathing members of our community who are alive thanks to donors and volunteers such as yourself. In fact, I met a boy at your school during my presentation who received blood as an infant during heart surgery.”
