The Truckee-Carson Irrigation District has issued a notice that a special election will be held on April 5.

Registration for the election is now open and will close at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 22. Eligibility to vote requires registration by District electors pursuant to NRS 539.127.
Voter eligibility in the District is based upon ownership of land in the Newlands Federal Reclamation Project to which a surface water right is appurtenant.
The District will extend regular business hours for voter registration on Tuesday, March 15, and Monday, March 21, from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the District Office, at 2666 Harrigan Road, Fallon, Nevada. Appointments for registration may be made by telephone by contacting Ida Adams, District Field Registrar, at (775) 423-2141. Anyone with questions regarding their current registration status or voter eligibility may also contract the District by telephone at (775) 423-2141. COVID-19 related safeguards remain in effect for all District staff.
