Week of September 13

Hello everyone from your historic Fallon Theatre!  We just celebrated the 100th birthday of this grand building last year & are looking forward to the years to come!

This week we have three great movie offerings – Thursday at 6:30 we have a classic from the past ‘Twelve Angry Men’ – a 1957 American courtroom drama starring Henry Fonda, Lee J. Cobb, E. G. Marshall & Jack Klugman. The film tells the story of a jury of 12 men as they deliberate the conviction or acquittal of an 18-year-old defendant on basis of reasonable doubt forcing the jurors to question their morals and values.

Saturday at 6:00 we have ‘Matilda’ which is a 1996 film adaptation of a Roald Dahl work – tells the story of a child prodigy named Matilda Wormwood, a gifted girl forced to put up with her disreputable family.  Stars Mara Wilson, Danny DeVito & Rhea Perlman.  Also at 6:30 Saturday we have ‘Mean Girls’ – a 2004 teen comedy written by Tina Fey starring Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams, Amy Poehler & Amanda Seyfried. This is a story of a 16-year-old home-schooled girl entering public school for the first time.  This movie is simply witty and smart with a storyline that is far different from the mainstream movies that come out today.  Remember all movies are FREE!

Mark your calendars for these events coming up – Saturday, September 25th at 4 PM come watch the students from Jeridel’s Music Studio perform on our stage.  Saturday, October 9th join us for our annual Show & Shine on Maine Street from 10:00 – 2:00.  You can pick up registration forms to enter your classic vehicles at Kent’s Supply.  Next on October 16th join us for an evening of laughter & great music, starting at 7 PM as we have 4 comedians on stage along with the Will Shamberger Band.  And last but not least on October 29th live on our stage is another great local band -  Lincoln Highway Band.
