Teacher of the Week -- Monica Mayfield
Nominate a teacher who has been amazing helping your child through this difficult time -- send in a brief description ([email protected]) and we'll help recognize all the good that's happening

Monica Mayfield was nominated by Shelbe Hall-Seay who said Monica delivered not only prizes to her students, but drove to 20+ plus spots delivering school work to her kids this week.  Shelbe said Monica felt like her students and parents were over welmed, so the folders contained inspirational messages and encouraged students and their parents to identify all the things they were thankful for.

Monica teaches third grade at E.C. Best Elementary School. Her principal, Keith Boone says, "I've worked with Mrs. Mayfield for several years. She uses her creativity to create lessons and activities for kids that are fun. Her students love being in her room. I love how she can take a kid from not liking school very much to being excited for school to start each day. In terms of staffing, you couldn't find a better teammate. She is always willing to help other teachers with lessons or questions."

"She is the best teacher in Churchill County," said Shelbe.
