Home and Garden Show This Weekend

The ever popular, spring tradition of the Soroptimist Home and Garden Show will be happening this weekend at the Fallon Convention Center. Join local businesses and service organizations for the 19th annual event where there will be booths, displays, and live domonstrations.

On Saturday, May 4th the show will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and the demonstration schedule includes:

11 a.m.  — Healthy cooking by Sean Walch, Chef/Dietician

12:15 p.m. — Flower arrangin by Doreen Hill of Doreen’s Desert Rose Florist

1:30 p.m. — CPR Techniques by Beth Riley of Banner Churchill Hospital

2:45 p.m. — Hoop Houses and more by Rick Lattin of Lattin Farms

3:30 p.m. — Kids plant your spring bloom by Sue Chambers


On Sunday May 5th, the show is open from 10:00 a.m. and the demonstrations will be held at:

10:30 a.m. — Great Basin Basket Farm Share by Kelli Kelly of the Fallon Food Hub

11:45 a.m. — Sheep to Shawl by Eve Bjarnson of Sheep to Shawls

1:00 p.m. — Container Gardening by Kim Klenakis, Nevada Master Gardener
