Sidne Teske, pastel artist, will be exhibiting her landscapes in the WNC Fallon Gallery during the month of March. Her show, “Chimneys and Tailings”, features mining from the past in the town of Tuscarora, Nevada.
Sidne has lived in the artist community there since the 70’s and her art depicts the passion and love for the land in this area. Her pastels were created outside, and this “plein aire” strategy has resulted in the vibrancy and energy of desert colors and shapes, found in the flora, mountains, mines, and rocks.
You are invited to visit the gallery to view these landscapes. The closing reception will be Friday, March 29, 5:30-7:00 p.m.. Sidne will be available for discussion and sharing. Light refreshments will be served.
